The Dovercourt-Wallace Emerson-Junction neighbourhood is located in the west end of Toronto. The neighbourhood has a rich history, with many of its buildings dating back to the early 1900s. It has undergone significant redevelopment in recent years, and is now a popular destination for young professionals and families. One of the neighbourhood’s main attractions is its vibrant shopping district, located along the stretch of Bloor Street between Dufferin Street and Lansdowne Avenue. Bloorcourt is a neighbourhood that originated from the construction of the Dufferin Plaza Shopping Centre back in 1956. With the arrival of the Bloor-Danforth subway line in 1966, the neighbourhood grew rapidly, and today it is a bustling area that is home to a diverse range of households, including both singles and families.
