Wychwood

The Wychwood neighbourhood is located in the midtown area of Toronto and is known for its leafy residential streets and proximity to parks and green spaces. The neighbourhood was named after Wychwood Park, a private gated community that was built in the late 1800s.

The majority of homes in Wychwood are detached or semi-detached houses built in the early 1900s, with some newer townhouses and apartment buildings in the area as well. The architecture in the neighbourhood is predominantly Edwardian, with some examples of Victorian and Arts and Crafts styles. One of the main commercial areas in the neighbourhood is St. Clair Avenue West, which features a variety of independent shops, cafes, and restaurants.

Residents of Wychwood enjoy easy access to several parks and green spaces, including the 12-acre Wychwood Barns Park and the nearby Cedarvale Ravine. Wychwood Barns is a community hub that hosts a weekly farmers’ market, arts events, and other cultural activities.
